AL DENOVELLIS

this past week the weather man did it again. from the big blow to the big downpour. that did not stop us on monday the 2ed, al de novellis from vineland went on a tear of his own. al landed a 40", and a 38" fish, then caught a short to round out his day. see this is better than cutting the grass at winslow school. then you have a group from sellersville pa showing how local 19 finest get things done. chris bagged 30" fish to make the day. after we tried some tog fishing and joe jones banged a brute of 6lb, their some good table food. then you have the group from wilmington de. rich, garry, mike, and last the ring leader don. what a treat, the only thing that was missing was a keg of coors light to go on the tap. it was great fishing with you guys, hop to see you again in all it is getting better and better so lets go fishing, when mother nature lets us.

october fishing

it has been some time since a fishing report, the only reason is not much happening. we are only sailing 4 days a week, when the weather lets us. as for what is being landed, lets see. i may say that on a few trips we have limited out on tog, now that sounds good right, well we only had 7 people on board and each is only allowed to keep one tog. the blues have been good, with each person catching some. the surprise lately is the drum fish. over the past 2 trips we have captured 3 nice fish in the 70lb range, on monday the 12 of october al jr and cathy anderson made dad al sr. proud when each of them landed 65lb fish. the only thing that al sr. said when it was over was " they did good real good but they just could not get them in the boat in the time that i did" al sr. is referring to the 15min. that it took him to land his 65lb fish in the spring. other than that we are still waiting for the fall rock fish to start. the water temps. need to drop a bit more then game on. until then blues, tog, and i hope a few more boom boom drums. hope to see you all soon.

LIFE AFTER FLOUNDER

it has been some time since the last update, for one reason it has been a bit slow. the other reason is we have changed our schedule to friday, saturday, sunday, and monday for sailing. the action has been ok, not good but ok. the blue fish are around some going in the 2lb range. small rock are around as well. the surprise fish the past few weeks are the drum that we found recently. each day a few were caught in the 20 to 35lb range. long time friend and customer wally and his son jim spent the day and jimbo banged a nice 25lb fish. long lost phil finely returned to the bonanza to catch his drum a nice 25lb fish. then you have ted "fishspit" mc daniels with his 35lb fish. ted fishes twice a week with his fishing partners al anderson and harry adams. they can been seen in the picture with russ samano with the drum, tog, trout, and some blues on a recent trip. some spot, croakers and some trout are around as well . we have been anchoring inshore targeting what ever we can find. it will not be long until the water temps. drop and the rock and tog fishing begins. look forward to a great fall fishing season.
