OPEN BOAT DRUM SAT JUNE 6

their are many things to be said about this trip. to start you could not have chosen a nicer night to enjoy on the bay, from the calm sea to the cool night to the lightning show off to the west, what a night. the fishing was good as well. this is how it went. andrew cardile from delanco n.j. hooked up on a 45lb drum and played it out for a bit, but still put it in the box. andrew followed that fish up a while later with his second fish a 55lb drum. james a. jones from bridgeton n.j.. put a decent 60lb drum in the box, good job unc! mike from the team of mike and britney pulled a solid 70lb drum that would have won the pool but like they say you have to" pay to play" next time mike. then you have diane and al luecke from haddenfield n.j. fishing for drum and manage to go home with a 18 1/2 inch flounder and 2 blues, go figure. old buck bagged his first drum with some fine coaching from brother nick, a pup of 40lb to cap off his 13th birthday, happy birthday buck. then dennis anderson hooked up with his 55lb drum, and with a little hand line help dennis put meat on the table. but the big catch was with 84 year young al anderson. al won the pool with his 65lb drum, once al had a grip on that pole the drum knew it did not have a chance. al did battle like the true fisherman that he is. great job al. thank you all for a great night on the bay
