well it happened again, the fish manged to show up for yet another night of fun on the delaware bay. it all started as soon as we settled back on the anchor. ed mahoney locked onto nice 50lb fish that had him doing the dance from one side of the boat to the other. then it was big jim dooley from bridgeton n.j. as he dueled with ed for fighting room to land a nice 45lb drum good job working with one another. from that point on it was tight lines. father and son bob and chuck lewis from millville n.j. captured 2 - 65lb and 1 - 35lb fish , good deal. patrick bloss from somerdale n.j. cranked on a 50lb and a 25lb fish to cap off his night. then mark keough from runnemede n.j. and steve nocella from mt. ephriam n.j. took the pool with their 75lb drum and then added to their catch with a 25lb drum. in all 9 drum fish came back to the dock, not to mention the ones that got away it was a bonanza of a night. the big news of the night was when louie jr was cold and looked for his hat upstairs, on his way back down louie had a burp gone wild to say the least. for the unlucky anglers that were locked on with fish that were standing under the overhang it was a experience that will soon not be forgotten any time soon. the only advice that can be offered to louie from the unlucky angler is chew the pickles better.
the next open boat drum trip will be saturday may,24 at 3:30 pm look forward to seeing you. remember that starting saturday may 24 flounder fishing will open. the bonanza2 will leave the dock at 7:30am.
